Personal Learning Environment
Task
Reflect on the resources, tools, services, people, and networks you use for learning. Consider also those you use in your daily activities and not for specific learning purposes, as they may be an important part of your informal learning process. Then, take a paper and pencil and make a diagram of your PLE: include a representation of yourself and your connection with the resources, tools, services, people, and networks.
After completing your work you can either: a) take a picture of it and upload it here or b) re-build your diagram directly online using a mind-map tool and share the link or the picture of it. Both choices are equally acceptable for the task and you are free to choose the one which you consider more appropriate to present your PLE.
The goal of the task is to help you develop an understanding of your PLE. Perhaps, at this point, you do not utilize many Web 2.0 tools, but it will be beneficial for you to see how your PLE will develop in the future.
Three recommendations while doing the task:
a) If you feel that it is difficult to include all the resources, tools, services, people and networks you use then try to put them in categories or present only the most important for you.
b) Do not feel awkward about your PLE. It is not a contest for the “best”, “organized”, “innovative”, “fancy”, etc. All you have to do is to depict your PLE as you perceive it.
